Plastic Bag Free Raglan – Wins NZ Beautiful Award
Plastic Bag Free Raglan is a community initiative, started by the Whaingaroa Environment Centre, Xtreme Zero Waste, the Raglan Chamber of Commerce, Para Kore and the Raglan Community Board.
The project has been led by a small group of passionate community members who worked tirelessly to reduce the number of plastic bags being distributed around the Raglan community. We are thrilled to see this work recognised by Keep New Zealand Beautiful at this year’s Keep NZ Beautiful Awards.
It was very humbling to be in a room full of people who share our same vision for Aotearoa and are doing their part to beautify the places we call home. We’re so proud of our incredible community and the support they have given to PBFR.
We’re looking forward to evolving the PBFR movement to PFR and tackle even more of the single-use waste that has taken over our world. #keepnewzealandbeautiful #plasticfreeforthesea #plasticbagfreeraglan
