Seventeen children and three leaders from The Graham Dingle Foundation visited Xtreme on Thursday 13th October. A beach clean-up was first on the list of activities, the group prowled Ngarunui Beach and collected around 10 kg’s of waste. The waste was brought to Xtreme and the children sorted it into recyclables, landfill and compostable waste. Once all waste was placed in their respective piles, only 2kg of landfill remained!! This activity gave the children an insight into the value of sorting waste and minimising what needs to go in the landfill. They finished the day with a tour of Xtreme, with lots of questions, discussions and learnings. Have a look at the photos, very happy campers, a beautiful day out in Whaingaroa and a huge thankyou to the children and the Foundation!!P1040047
